Four Major Airlines Return to Seychelles
Condor and Edelweiss Air resumed their weekly services to Seychelles on the 21st and 22nd of September 2024, respectively. Aeroflot followed suit with two weekly flights beginning on the 2nd of October, while Turkish Airlines is scheduled to make its highly anticipated return on the 28th of October, offering four flights per week.
These resumed services strengthens Seychelles' connectivity with key European markets, enhancing the islands' accessibility for travelers worldwide.
In addition, Tourism Seychelles announced the launch of the first direct, non-stop charter flight from Chengdu, China, operated by Sichuan Airlines. This new route, set to commence operations in the last quarter of 2024, is a significant milestone in capturing the Chinese travel market and expanding Seychelles' presence in Asia.
Mrs. Bernadette Willemin, Director General for Destination Marketing at Tourism Seychelles, shared her enthusiasm for these developments: “We are delighted to welcome back our key airline partners. The return of these flights is critical to reviving our tourism industry, as increased connectivity allows for more international visitors to experience the unique offerings of our islands. We are confident this will positively impact our tourism sector.”
